Japanese Silver Black Kung Fu Teapot
Teapots for brewing loose-leaf tea
Bring a distinctive finish to your tea table with ceramic and Tenmoku teapots. This collection includes flowing glaze patterns, darker finishes and textured designs, with options such as Golden Peacock, Galaxy Flow, Snow Flow and Vintage Ceramic.
Every teapot in this collection is intended for brewing tea with water heated separately. These are brewing vessels, not kettles for boiling water. Do not place them directly on a stove or flame.
Choosing a ceramic or Tenmoku teapot
Start with how you serve tea, then compare the individual product’s capacity, dimensions and shape. For a solo session, match the amount you brew to your cup. When sharing, consider the combined volume of your serving cups rather than choosing by appearance alone.
- Glaze and colour: compare flowing patterns, dark finishes and lighter designs against the cups you already use.
- Capacity: check the specific product’s listed volume; the same-looking pot can hold a different amount.
- Shape and handling: review the handle, lid and spout in the product photos.
- Package contents: check the individual listing before assuming cups or accessories are included.
A Tenmoku teapot can be the visual focus of a simple tea setting. Pair it with coordinating cups for a consistent look, or contrast its glaze with a plainer cup. Colour and finish are aesthetic choices, not a guarantee of a particular tea flavour.
Complete your tea setting
Choose individual tea cups to match your preferred serving size. For a different brewing vessel, compare our gaiwan collection. If you need several pieces together, see the tea sets and check each set’s included items.
Can these teapots boil water?
No. Heat water in a separate kettle, then use the teapot to brew your tea. These products are not stovetop kettles.
Does a teapot include matching cups?
Do not assume cups are included. Check the selected product’s package contents, or choose a tea set with an explicitly listed cup count.
